Personal Bio
Sheila is a long time resident of the South Okanagan. Having arrived in 1967, she spent most of her childhood in the Okanagan. Sheila also lived in Vancouver in her teens and twenties before returning to the Okanagan to raise her four children while simutaneously attending UBCO to obtain her master's degree in clinical social work. Sheila is married and all of her children have graduated now. Sheila enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and learning about the neurobiological processes of human behaviour, practicing yoga and riding motorcycles.


Professional Bio
Sheila's work experience includes medical and psychiatric counselling for Interior Health Authority.  Sheila provided both inpatient and outpatient counselling for individuals living with mental illness, addictions, chronic conditions, grief and loss and caregiver support. Sheila also worked in a residential addiction centre with youth and as an associate with Dr. Kathleen Reay before opening her private practice specializing in attachment and complex trauma.
