I believe that everyone that walks in my door is an expert on their life. I see my clients as whole people, not diagnoses on paper. As a therapist, I act as a guide to help you illuminate your path, work through current and/or past challenges, and cope with any other struggles you come to therapy to address. I feel that working collaboratively is essential to therapeutic progress. I believe that everyone requires a different approach to therapy and that there is no “one size fits all” approach. I do my best to use a tailored approach to address your needs and maintain an open line of communication to ensure that we are working in a direction and at a pace that feels right for you.
I'm a trauma-informed therapist who works from an eclectic approach, (emphasizing person-centered and other humanistic theoretical orientations). As a collaborator in your wellness, I use a holistic approach to help my clients take ownership of their lived experiences in a compassionate, sensitive, and directive manner.
I have experience working with diverse populations in a variety of settings. My experiences include working in outpatient community mental health clinics, adult residential substance abuse treatment centers, and residential mental health treatment programs with teenagers. The clients I’ve worked with have all varied in socioeconomic background, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and age. Some issues my clients have come to therapy to address have included
trauma-related issues, depression, anxiety, sexual misconduct, issues relating to intimacy and relationships, social relationships, and issues with feeling “stuck” or dissatisfied with their current life situation.
At the current time, I primarily work with adult individuals and couples. I enjoy working with clients who may have had previous therapy experiences that were unfulfilling or unproductive. Many of the clients I’ve worked with who have had previous negative experiences with therapy have shared with me that working together has contributing to adopting a new to changing their perception of therapy and their potential for growth.
I charge $120 for a 50 minute individual therapy session and $180 for a 75 minute couples therapy session. I’m not in network with any insurance companies but I can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement from your insurance company.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about my therapeutic process or any questions about potentially working together.
