Problems of living, psychological symptoms, and the best ways to address them are unique to you and your context. I’m an expert on grounding a wide-variety of therapeutic perspectives within the context of your life. We’ll collaborate to find out what works best for you. In general, I use an integrative model of counseling that employs factors of successful treatment common to most approaches, specific tools originating from different approaches, and looks at every problem from multiple therapeutic points of view. I believe shared humor and relational connection are key to effective therapy. Our relationship and the intention we bring to it can do much of the healing work. I’m passionate about what makes you unique. I want to help you overcome adversities, heal from old wounds, and resolve outdated patterns so that you can grow into yourself with greater skill, choice, and intention. More importantly, I am here to help you get to where you want to go.
 
Life is full of both tragedy and comedy, and sometimes humor acts as an insightful messenger between the two that can shift the way we think about things. Of course, there are other messengers out there too. Feelings such as grief, shame, anxiety, sadness, and anger often signal that something needs to flow and change. Listening to these feelings—some that can consume us and others that gently nudge us—can move us forward. Through this, we sometimes discover that our everyday stressors, dilemmas, and relational conflicts are part of larger patterns waiting to be resolved as a whole.
 
We’ll spend time talking about these everyday stressors and develop strategies to address them, along with your immediate priorities, but we’ll also look at how they factor into larger ongoing life patterns, possible underlying issues, and find creative ways to address these too. This ensures that you experience long-term relief and progress toward your goals. Some of this may sound heavy, but in my experience, it can also be a process that is joyful and relieving. Our greatest challenges can become our greatest strengths.
 
My goal is to provide a comfortable and confidential environment where all aspects of your self are welcome. This includes taking a body-mind, whole person perspective that considers the social, cultural, and spiritual contexts of your life. By contemplating your past, present, and future, we get you on track to where you want to go.
