About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who has been practicing for over ten years. I’ve always had a passion for helping others and enjoy guiding clients through the transformation they seek, whether that be a change in their relationship, learning additional tools to help with stress and anger, or minimizing the effects of depression or anxiety. One unique option I offer, is meeting with clients at local parks. Sometimes getting out of the office is a welcome change of venue and is a choice you have for any given appointment (weather permitting).

I specialize in helping people in the following areas
• Anger Management
• Couples Counseling
• Depression
• Anxiety

Benefits of Therapy
The simple fact that you’re reading this indicates that you’re thinking of making a change. Counseling is a proven method to help people and couples change their lives. What’s holding you back or preventing you from being happier? From feeling connected to your partner again? From being the person you would like to be?
Each client is unique and their reasons for coming in to therapy may be very different. With that in mind, you will be treated as an individual and with the utmost respect.
During your first session we will begin to develop a plan to help improve your situation.
We will formulate unique therapy goals to help with your situation

Types of Therapy Used
My counseling approach is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a well-researched and empirically proven theoretical approach to helping individuals work through their problems.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy often involves some type of homework between sessions, such as paying attention to personal thoughts throughout the week, logging or journaling different thoughts or feelings, and practicing certain topics discussed in sessions.
In working with couples, one primary focus is improving communication and ensuring each party has a voice that is heard.

Scheduling and Cost
I meet with clients Monday-Friday. My first available appointment is 9:30am and my last is 5:30pm.
Therapy sessions typically last between 45-60 minutes and cost $125.00.
I do accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Insurance. If you plan on utilizing this option you will need to bring a copy of your insurance card and an identification card (Driver’s License or State ID) with you to your first session. I recommend contacting your insurance provider prior to coming in to verify your benefits, co-pay amount, deductible, etc.
If you do not have Blue Cross Blue Shield but still wish to utilize your insurance, I can assist you in using your Out-Of-Network benefits

My office is located at 1999 Wabash Ave, Suite 209 in Springfield, IL.
