I have worked with all ages and social demographics. My current focus is counselling in the areas of self-esteem, body image and weight loss, pain and sleep management, lifestyle coaching, depression, goal setting (life and work), marriage counselling, PTSD, Bipolar depression, addictions counselling with teens and adults, and group workshops. I also work with groups and individuals on building self esteem through fitness, dance, performance, theatre, clowning and music. I have experience working with youth at risk and youth with disabilities. My extensive background in the recreation and arts combined with my education and training in psychology has developed a counselling approach that emphasises the whole person. It is important to see the needs of the client in the context of their physical, social, spiritual, and cognitive environment.I have a strong cognitive behavioral approach that utilizes and incorporates other styles of counselling (family systems, narrative, client centered, etc) to be able to meets the different needs of the individual.
