About Me

I’m Jackie Orsetto (she/her) MSW, RSW, a Registered Social Worker offering counselling in-person in Peterborough and online across Ontario. You may be here because you’re feeling anxious, depleted, or disconnected from yourself. Perhaps you’ve been trying to hold it all together, but something inside knows there’s another way. You don't have to navigate it alone! My work supports your body, mind, and spirit—helping you build the inner architecture that allows you to feel grounded, steady, and whole.
Alongside my clinical training, I bring years of study in the healing arts, including yoga, yoga nidra, reiki, and clinical aromatherapy. These disciplines have shaped how I hold space: with reverence for both science and the innate wisdom of the body.

My Approach
My practice is evidence-based and grounded in neuroscience. I draw on well-established therapeutic models that support emotional regulation, self-understanding, and nervous system balance. Through this lens, therapy becomes a process of learning how your system responds to stress, how to work with those patterns, and how to create the safety needed for lasting change.
Together, we’ll slow down, notice what’s happening in real time, and develop tools that help you respond rather than react. My intention is that you leave each session not only with relief, but with practical, repeatable skills that support long term resilience and transformation.

While my approach is rooted in science, it’s also deeply human and compassionate. I believe growth happens through safety, curiosity, and connection, not pressure or perfectionism. You set the pace, and we work collaboratively toward your goals.

How I Work (Benefits to You)
Therapy with me is calm, compassionate, and collaborative. We’ll slow the pace, create safety, and help your nervous system settle so you can think more clearly, feel more steadily, and choose next steps that truly fit.

Clients often describe feeling more regulated, less overwhelmed, and more connected to themselves—both in session and in daily life. My aim is that you leave sessions with relief in the moment along with tools and insights that support lasting change.

What You Can Expect
Sessions are collaborative, calm, and attuned to your needs. You can expect:
  • A space that feels safe, non-judgmental, and restorative
  • Guidance that helps you regulate, reflect, and reconnect
  • Practical tools you can use between sessions and for lasting change
  • Gentle integration of body awareness and mindful practices to support healing

Who I Support
I support adults seeking help with: anxiety and stress, burnout and overwhelm, depression and low mood, trauma integration and nervous system healing, life transitions and identity changes, self-esteem and boundaries, grief and loss, and personal growth and resilience. If you’re looking for therapy that blends heart and science, that's grounded, gentle, and effective, you’re in the right place.
