Welcome!

For nearly a decade I've helped clients of all backgrounds work through many forms of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, patterns of negative thinking and substance use. I'm especially passionate about providing the kind of care and tools that interfere with stuckness, self-imposed personal limits, self-defeating and self-critical patterns, and unproductive and painful patterns in relationships. Above all I am interested in helping clients rediscover a sense of safety, confidence, and empowerment, so they can feel better, and live more of the life they want. See more about my experience and credentials below.

Holistic, Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I am a mindfulness-based therapist, which means that in addition to talking through what's going on in your life, we'll pay close attention to all aspects of your experience, and can utilize the body as a great tool in the process of feeling better and more empowered. Incorporating mindfulness and neuroscience into therapeutic work improves outcomes, generally gets quicker results, and can make therapy more fun and interesting.

The Importance of Gentleness

Gentleness is a key part of my orientation, and a necessary ingredient in therapy. A lot of people spend years beating up on themselves and trying the same old approaches to feeling better without much progress. But we only really heal when we start to befriend ourselves, ease up on our old strategies, and take a chance in trying new options for responding to familiar situations and emotions. For this reason, everything we do in therapy will be held within an atmosphere of of profound gentleness — friendliness not only to the person you wish to be, but to the person you already are.

What Clients Have To Say

I check in frequently to make sure I'm meeting my clients with what they most need. Clients tell me they feel strongly supported by our work together; that they notice concrete, positive changes in their life; and that they see therapy as helping to facilitate more ease in their daily lives and more confidence in who they are.

Find Out If We're The Right Fit

I've always thought everyone should be able to meet and talk with their prospective therapist without paying for a session. This allows each client the opportunity to see if the therapist feels like a good fit, and the therapist an opportunity to make sure they have the experience and skills that best match a client's needs. If you resonate with any of what I've written here, reach out so we can have that conversation!
