Karen Ragland loves to walk alongside people as they learn, adapt, and grow to reach their full potential through all the phases of life. Karen is a National Certified Counselor. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairfield University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Sacred Heart University, both located in Fairfield, Connecticut. Karen customizes her therapeutic approach to fit each unique client and employs a diverse array of evidence-based techniques.
Karen has worked with adults facing a variety of challenges, including: chronic disease, probation / parole, substance abuse / addiction, career exploration, and lifespan adjustment. She has spent time working with adolescents in an alternative school setting as well as engaging with young children in play therapy.
She also has diversified corporate experience spanning many industries, including continuing medical education, healthcare quality improvement, project management, aviation, commercial real estate, and public education leadership. She is an energetic, highly organized problem solver, and motivated task master. She sees the big picture when working through complex problems and loves to work with people to develop and deploy creative solutions. Karen is a serious home chef, artisan cheese maker, gardener, wife, mother of three children and two German Shepherds.
