Kerri Childs believes in the innate capacity for healing and growth within each person and is passionate about providing a caring, safe, and supportive environment. Her collaborative approach to therapy includes mindfulness, somatic psychology, and interpersonal neurobiology to address a client’s mind, body, and spirit. Kerri guides individuals to deepen their self-awareness and reconnect with their authenticity.

Kerri Childs is a National Certified Counselor. She earned a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science / Kinesiology from Belmont University. Kerri received additional training and certifications in Cultural Somatics, Psychological First Aid, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Complex Trauma Therapy. She utilizes a trauma-informed, person-centered approach to counseling – integrating traditional therapies, ecotherapy, and mindfulness.
Kerri has been a mental health advocate for more than fourteen years. Her passion for counseling evolved over decades of navigating the mental healthcare system as a mother, foster parent, and adoptive parent. Kerri has experience working with diverse populations and an array of mental health concerns as a counselor and meditation teacher. She is dedicated to her own healing journey, which involves honest self-reflection, compassion, and nature.
