A counsellor with experience and passion: My name is Kristie Brassard and I am the Registered Social Worker and Therapist behind Featherfree Counselling. I offer confidential, individual and couples counselling for adults (17+) and bring authenticity, compassion and a breadth of experience into the therapy room.

A non-judgemental, calming space to share: People, that I support, often say that my genuine nature and sense of humour helps them to feel comfortable to share with me. The atmosphere I create in therapy sessions is calming, relaxed, and non-judgemental.

Supporting people who are struggling: I can support you as you learn to cope and heal with many concerns including: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress, chronic pain, substance abuse, physical health issues, emotional regulation, low self-esteem, distress tolerance, work dissatisfaction, lack of purpose & meaning, grief & loss, difficult life transitions, weight management, smoking cessation, sexuality, relationship issues, assertiveness & communication, etc.

Counselling can help: In the counselling session you can share your concerns in a confidential and non-judgemental space, work on developing and reaching personal and professional goals, improve your relationships, challenge your thoughts and change unhelpful patterns, learn healthier coping skills and work towards being the best version of yourself.

Evidence-based counselling interventions: Using different counselling modalities, like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Brainspotting and transpersonal psychology, I will support you while you reflect, heal and grow.

Our busy schedules, competing priorities and fear of opening up can often get in the way of us choosing to connect with a counsellor. Counselling can be hard but it can also be so rewarding and transformative. I will happily answer any questions or address any concerns you have, so please feel free to reach out. Wishing you well!
