I am a registered psychologist in the province of Alberta and specialize in counselling psychology and sport and performance psychology. Looking for or considering help can be a difficult process but it is not one you have to feel alone in. I believe in taking a collaborate approach in therapy and working with you to work through difficulties towards your goals. In our work together I place an emphasis on increased self-awareness and understanding, which often leads to more meaningful and practical solutions. I utilize various therapy modalities such as cognitive behavioural, solution focused and experiential therapies. I work from the basis that all individuals have strengths and they can be utilized across various aspects of life. My role is to guide you and facilitate the change process by drawing on current strengths and resiliency to assist in uncovering and strengthening your resources. When working with me you will be treated with dignity and respect. As part of our collaboration, I place emphasis on working with the person not just a problem and can help in addressing concerns in various aspects of your life. I strive to create a safe, nurturing and understanding environment for all clients and tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of the individual.
I work with a broad range of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, life transitions, anger management, disordered eating and injury rehabilitation as well as comprehensive assessments (psycho-educational, parenting).
In my sport and performance psychology practice I provide the individual or team with skills to give them a competitive edge and build a strong foundation of psychological skills to improve performance at all levels of sport. With years of experience competing at some of the highest levels of sport, I also understand the unique and challenging issues that athletes and performers may face and can assist the individual in working through these. Sport psychology is tailored for all ages and all levels of play whether you're a professional athlete, developing athlete or weekend warrior, it can help get you that extra edge. If you have any questions or wish to book an phone consultation or appointment to meet with me please call (780) 428-9223 or feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I am available to meet you at ARCH’s downtown Edmonton and St. Albert locations and can work with teams on-site at their training facilities.
