Life can be challenging, but you don’t have to face it alone. I’m Meral, a bilingual therapist (English and Turkish) with over 14 years of combined experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s ups and downs. Having worked extensively with diverse communities—particularly immigrant and Indigenous individuals—I understand how culture, identity, and life transitions shape who we are, how we see ourselves, and how we connect with others.
My approach blends trauma-informed care with a focus on attachment, self-discovery, and personal growth. I believe that healing is not only about addressing the pain of the past, but also about deepening our understanding of who we are today and how we wish to live moving forward. That means paying attention to the relationships we build—with a therapist, with loved ones, and with ourselves. Together, we will create a supportive space where you feel truly seen and heard—not just as a client, but as a unique person with your own strengths, values, and story.
I work with clients facing a wide variety of concerns, including stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, parenting struggles, life transitions, and emotional well-being. In our sessions, we will explore what matters most to you, identify the obstacles getting in your way, and develop strategies that fit your personality and life circumstances. My role is not to “fix” you, but to help you uncover the resilience, clarity, and capacity for change that are already within you.
Therapy works best when it’s collaborative and tailored to your needs. I draw from a range of approaches, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered therapy, somatic practices, and expressive arts. These tools allow us to work in ways that match your preferences—whether that means reflective conversation, creative exploration, or structured skill-building. I also offer walk-and-talk therapy for clients who feel more at ease processing thoughts in motion.
Over the years, I’ve seen how even small shifts in perspective can lead to meaningful changes in a person’s life. I am deeply committed to my own learning and growth because I believe my commitment to myself is also a commitment to you. My goal is to help you turn challenges into opportunities for lasting change—supporting you not just in navigating difficulties, but in creating a life that feels authentic, balanced, and meaningful.
If you are ready to take the next step, I welcome you to reach out. Whether you are seeking support for a specific issue, hoping to deepen your self-understanding, or simply wanting a safe place to pause and reflect, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey.
