The Role of ADHD in your life

Living with ADHD symptoms can feel like you’re always running to catch up, no matter how hard you try. Missed deadlines, forgotten details, and the constant juggling of responsibilities can leave you feeling exhausted and discouraged. Many adults with ADHD carry the weight of being misunderstood for years, often wondering if they’re lazy, broken, or simply not trying hard enough. The truth is, you’re not failing—your brain just works differently, and that difference comes with unique strengths worth recognizing and celebrating.

My Approach

I offer strength-based ADHD counselling for adults, designed to help you better understand your brain, uncover your strengths, and create systems that truly fit. Together, we’ll move beyond one-size-fits-all productivity hacks and instead build strategies that align with who you are and "where you're at". My role is to help you process and work through challenging emotions and experiences, while also supporting you to create a life that is less overwhelming, more manageable, and more fulfilling. Some sessions will feel more like "coaching" as we come up with systems and strategies that work with your life. Others will require more traditional counselling approaches to unpack the emotions that are coming up for you. As your counsellor, my role is to meet you where you're at and adapt to what you need to

What You Can Expect in Sessions

  • In our work together, we’ll explore tools and systems that fit your lifestyle and brain. This might mean:
  • Developing routines and habits that are realistic and sustainable.
  • Learning how to navigate emotional challenges, such as shame, frustration, or overwhelm, that often accompany ADHD.
  • Building self-trust and confidence so you can feel more in control of your life.
  • Exploring workplace accommodations or personal adjustments that help you succeed without burning out.

Our sessions are not about forcing you into a mold; they’re about creating a supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are.

Why Work With Me

As someone who also lives with ADHD, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to every session. I know what it’s like to have too many ideas and not enough time, to forget the “simple” things, and to constantly feel like you’re playing catch-up. My personal and professional understanding allows me to offer both practical strategies and compassionate support. Together, we’ll focus on making life feel lighter and more manageable.

Flexible, Accessible Support

I offer 50-minute sessions by phone or secure video, so you can connect from the comfort of your own space—PJs, snacks, pets, and fidget toys all welcome. Online therapy often means less masking, more comfort, and the ability to show up as your full self.

Additional Guidance Between Sessions

For those who want extra support, I also offer "working sessions" to help you get tasks done that create extra overwhelm or require accountability. Soon, I will be launching online "body doubling" sessions in a group format at an accessible price. Reach out to me for details!

Getting Started
