We wish everyone safety and health,
As a marriage/relationship and family counsellor, the cornerstone of my practice is grounded in the belief that people do all types of things to protect themselves and preserve their dignity. Sometimes their responses are misunderstood and/or seen as negative. My goal is to explore these to determine the meaning behind the things people are doing intheir relationships with others. From my experience, once individuals, couples, or families begin to understand that their responses are signs of mental wellness, not metal deficit, they begin to feel better. From this perspective we will explore, in great detail, the details of each client’s perspective, responses, and resistance. We will then work to create new more helpful ways to communicate and be in relationship with others. Clients are invited to attend individually or with their partner or family members. Together we will collaborate on goals and strategies for therapy. I work with individuals, couples, and families. I have specialized training in working with issues of violence. I work with perpetrators and victims of violence.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). I have a Masters Degree in Counselling from City University. In addition, I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree, a Certificate in Response-Based Practice, a Certificate in Child Abuse Prevention, and a Diploma in Systemic Family Therapy. I believe in ongoing education. I have completed Narrative Therapy Training Level 1 and Narrative Therapy Advanced Level 2, Gottman Level 1, and attended trainings on Trauma-Informed Practice, Solution-Focused Therapy, and anxiety. I have certification in suicide intervention (ASIST and SafeTalk).  I practice from a number of therapeutic modalities including Response-Based Practice, Narrative Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
My goal is to provide a welcoming, collaborative, individualized experience for counselling. I believe that counselling is a highly personal decision that is most successful when clients feel a rapport with their counsellor. Therefore, I welcome you to call and ask me questions and/or set up a time to come and visit my counselling space.
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC# 13848) I can provide a receipt with my registration number for most extended health plans. I also do phone or Zoom sessions at a client’s request.
I can be reached by phone/text at 250-819-1902 or by email at
