I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has a true passion for helping individuals break barriers and learn how to live their best life everyday. I work with my clients to get to the core of where the problem stems from, what continues to trigger it and how to resolve it.  I am dedicated to providing quality service to the individuals and families I work with.

I received my Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from the former University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2006.  I had already begun my work in the mental health field in 2003 with a non-profit grass roots organization where I counseled  adults with severe and persistent mental illness.  This foundation gave me an understanding of the need we have for services.  Soon after, I transitioned into working similarly with adolescents and families.  During this time I witnessed how consistency, nurturing and dedication with support can play such an important role in helping individuals through their struggles and barriers.

In my practice at Emerge- The Counseling and Coaching Center, clients make long-term and effective changes in therapy as they become determined and committed to putting time into themselves. I implement Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and Family Systems Theory.  These approaches have all been successful in helping clients gain their goals.

My focus is primarily on adolescents, women and families.   I specialize in anxiety, stress management, depression, anger management, trauma, grief, obsessive compulsive disorders, hoarding behaviors, eating disorders and family conflict.

I trust and have seen through therapy individuals are able to better understand their thoughts and behaviors.  They are able to connect to themselves and learn to self-validate. They become adequate with who they are and learn to reflect more and regret less from their previous experiences.  Individuals learn to change the course of their future and gain the ability to apply skills independently. One of the most important skills they learn is "What you project, is what you will attract."

I provide a safe and comfortable environment to develop and healthy and therapeutic relationship and process. People do best when they feel empowered to take an active role in the counseling process.

Each session is 50 minutes and the office is located in the quaint downtown area of Ridgewood, NJ. If you have any questions and would like to learn more about how these services would be beneficial to your needs, please call 551-775-0575 and let's get you started.
