PERSONAL

My name is Tim Symons, I am passionate in helping people as they face the challenges of life, and am deeply interested in seeing strong communities grow in our city.I believe that strong communities begin with individuals and couples that are thriving in life.
As a professional counsellor I have the privilege of listening to clients as they share their life stories with me, offering a safe and welcoming space, a non-judgmental attitude and questions that engage in the process of discovery and healing.

APPROACHES TO COUNSELLING

Client-focused - I am hear to talk about the issues that you want to talk about and the goals that you would like to focus on Narrative - This approach focuses on the story of your life and how the many influences shape your understanding of both your past and current situations. Emotionally focused - An approach that highlights cycles of escalating tension between couples and helps reveal the underlying emotional motivations and attachment needs that drive those cycles.Psycho-education - This is useful to share highlight certain ways that we as people function and skills that can be useful to cope with life.

These are some of the benefits that counselling can achieve, I cannot guarantee any particular levle of satisfaction as that varies by client. What I can guarantee is that I will support you through the counselling process to the best of my ability.

COST
I charge a flat $105 fee per 50 minute session. (This applies to couples as well as individuals) I provide a receipt, which can be submitted to an insurance provider. (You are responsible for checking if your plan includes my services)
For couples I have an initial 80minute session that costs $147.50
QUALIFICATIONS

Master's Degree - Counselling
Associate Professional Counsellor with PACCP (Professional Association of Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists)
