In some churches, psychology is viewed as humanistic and leads people away from God. Conversely, psychological theorists viewed Christianity as harmful and results in psychopathology. As a Christian Psychologist, these views are rejected. Instead, a Christian psychologist understands the value of scripture and disciplines that encourage growth in a relationship with God. A relationship with Jesus is vital in helping a person struggling with depression, anxiety, or other mental health problems. The goal of Christian counseling is in helping a person to understanding the thoughts and emotions that can limit a person from thriving and encouraging growth in a relationship with God and others.

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that. If one honors God's natural laws of reaping and sowing around the decisions one makes, one is indeed living Scripture to its fullest. We prepare the brain to better maximize the spiritual realities of Christ's words. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Christian counseling is a unique approach to therapy that holds a biblical view of human nature, honoring all the dimensions of a person’s life: Spiritual, psychological, relational, and physical. It is a whole-person approach that integrates psychological principles with biblical truths and Christian faith. Given my strong background in theology, spiritual direction, and psychotherapy, as well as my experience working with Christians from various denominations, I welcome everyone in my counseling office. Therapy is provided in a spiritually-sensitive manner, with respect to your values and beliefs. I will coach you on your path to healing, wholeness, and spiritual growth.

Many people going through challenging times and even misguided times are aided by biblical scriptural verse or religious philosophy. My personal background is steeped within the first 24 books making up the Bible, the Tanach, the Five Books of Moses, the Prophets and the Writings, that which is the core of the Judeo-Christian religious foundations. Religious concepts that can be effective spiritual tools to help, enlighten and guide a client’s chosen path to recovery or to healthy...(view profile to read more)

Faith and spirituality can provide comfort and meaning to those guided by their beliefs. I was raised in a Christian household myself so I have an appreciation for the values instilled by religion, the importance of tradition, and the strength of community. My approach to counseling is humanistic and welcoming of all spiritualities. Though I do not incorporate any specific pastoral counsel, I encourage my spiritual clients to draw on their beliefs during the counseling process.
