He majored in religion at Baylor University, attended Seminary in 1992, and even earned his Master degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University, where he later served as adjunct faculty. Dr. Rumsey understands and appreciates the importance of your faith (whatever faith that may be), and the critical role it plays in shaping your life, your relationship, your decisions, and incorporates this into your work together. He is well-versed in a Biblical worldview, and the importance of making decisions that honor your faith as we address the issues that prompted you to seek counseling.

I graduated with my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. As a part of my counseling training, I learned how to integrate christianity and psychology in a way that can really help those who desire therapy who also have a strong christian faith background. Integrating faith and therapy is an art. When it is done well, the benefits can be wonderful.

I believe in one God, creator of all. I believe that God loves us and forgives us. I believe God speaks to us if we only listen. I believe God wants the best for us.
