In family therapy, I draw on the work of both Virginia Satir and Michael White to create a collaborative space where each family member feels valued. Inspired by Satir’s emphasis on connection and authenticity, we explore family dynamics without placing blame on any one person, seeking instead to understand how certain patterns have taken shape. Using White’s narrative approach, we also look at the stories each person holds about their role within the family, inviting re-authoring conversations that foster empathy, resilience, and a sense of belonging. Together, we build on shared values to create a supportive, growth-oriented environment for all.

Family therapy is based on the belief that each family is a unique social system with its own structure and patterns of communication. These patterns are determined by many factors, including the parents' beliefs and values as well as the personalities of all family members. I assist in identifying conflicts and anxieties and helping families develop strategies to resolve issues and strengthen family members so they can work on their challenges together. During therapy sessions, the family's strengths are used to help handle challenges and all members take responsibility.

Feel your family is dysfunctional? Most families are. I will provide a space in which everyone is heard and respected. I will look at the whole family as a unit and help you develop new strategies for interactions as a family. I will also look at how each memeber of the family relates to the other members and help you develop new ways of responding and communicating. No member of the family will be left out as we build a stronger family unit.

I love working with families who are open to guidance and accountability. Most of my experience with family therapy involves working with families with children and/or parents who are neurodivergent. I can offer tools like EMDR, mindfulness practices, creative and fun techniques, and a fresh, unbiased perspective on the potential causes and solutions for your family's challenges.

I can help your family feel more connected and stable. Everyone has their own story that effects everyone else they live with. Whether you are partners, new parents, a long standing family with new issues, or a blended family, I have a play therapy office to include young children in family therapy so that we can hear their voice in the family as well. I will listen to what is happening and help you to find new solutions.
