Underwood Counseling & Consultation, PLLC uses CBT, DBT skills training, ACT, EMDR, & Accelerated Resolution Therapy to improve anger management.

Whether it's self referral or court mandated anger management, we can help. We work to help you get to the root of your anger and anger reactions and then help you to replace those thoughts and behaviors. Anger is a real feeling, we help our clients to express it in a healthy manner and to become more assertive. Some of our therapists are Certified Anger Management Specialists for those who need to fufill that requirement.

Anger is not the problem! Anger is not bad or good, or negative or positive. Like love, sad or happy, anger, is only an emotion - a feeling. Nothing more, nothing less. The thing that gives anger it's bad reputation is what a person sometimes DOES when he/she gets angry. When a person makes poor choices of behavior when angry, they either break the law or destroy relationship - or BOTH. I'll be happy to teach you how you can make better choices of behavior when you feel angry. You may choose a package of eight Group Sessions or you may schedule as few or as many Individual Sessions as you need.

Anger management counseling can help to identify stressors and learn the steps to stay calm in the face of anger. The goal is to handle tense situations in more constructive and positive ways by reducing the emotional and physical arousal that anger can cause. It will provide the tools to take back your life and resolve the triggers that result in unplanned anger reactions.
