Using a structured, yet individualized approach to anger management, I help you identify triggers and thought patterns that lead to issues with anger. Therapy focuses on learning to respond and not react to people, situations, and circumstances that have been troublesome. We cannot control other people, but we can control how we respond to them. I often provide court-mandated anger management.

Anger is an emotion that is strong. Its an emotion expressing that something is not ok. Anger presents its face to necessarily express that you are not ok and/or something is not ok, and change needs to happen. This emotion is valuable. However, there are effective ways of expressing anger; ways which empowers one to make positive change and there are less-than-helpful ways of expressing anger; bringing one farther and farther away from our goal. It is my mission to help you work on your anger to strengthen you in effectively creating a more wholesome, healthy way of interacting with the universe, improving your relationship skills and allowing life to unfold in a safer,smoother fashion.

Anger can be both useful and destructive, it can motivate or it can destroy. Anger can negatively effect your health and welfare. If your anger is destroying your happiness and your relationships it is time to learn new coping tools. Often times beliefs and expectations can lead to rage and anger. I will help you learn about the belief systems that are not serving you well and coach you towards new belief systems. So often our desire for perfection or fairness lead to high levels of frustration. Learning to tolerate and detach can be tools toward serenity and peace. Forgiveness is not for the other person.
