I believe the Scriptures contain the answers to life and Godliness. If we have a right understanding of who God is, who we are, and how problems develop, we can have the abundant life God desires us to have. Many of the issues we face and struggle with have a spiritual component at its root. Looking at these issues as the Bible looks at them will not only expose the problem, it will expose the answer. My goal is to help you look at the issues you are facing from a biblical perspective, and then turn toward the Bible for the answers so you are conformed to God's image, which is His desire for you in the first place.

Brian's Christian faith is the central factor in his life, and provides him with strength and hope based on the incredible grace that he finds in Christ. He intentionally sought out training that integrated psychology and Christian theological learning. Though not all of his patients share this faith, or wish to look at their issues through this frame, Brian is trained and glad to address issues from this perspective. There are Christian Counselors and Counselors that are Christian. What's the difference? Christian Counselors attend a Christian Master's program and learn Biblical teachings to guide you through your therapy. A Counselor that is a Christian is a counselor that is a Christian in his or her own life but may not have been through that type of "formal" training. I am a Counselor that is a Christian. I enjoy working with clients who have a Christian faith if that is an interest for them to use in their process.

As a Christian counselor, the idea that each of us is created in the image of God has profound implications for how I engage with my clients. When clients more fully embrace their God-given design, including their deepest longings, and also come to recognize some strategies for fulfilling those desires that may be at odds with God's purposes, real growth becomes possible. Happiness in life then becomes the byproduct, rather than the goal, of true progress.
