Committed to helping you grow and heal through a safe and respectful therapeutic connection
I recognize that building a trusting client/therapist relationship is the single most important indicator of a successful therapeutic process. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive relationship.

I focus on helping adults clearly define and reach their personal wellness goals from a holistic perspective — the mind and body are connected in subtle and amazing ways. Realizing that each person is unique in their challenges and strengths, therapy is molded around individualized needs. We will work together to identify and promote your strengths and resources to cope with the issues or difficulties that concern you.

My experience includes the following areas:

- Grief and Loss
- Trauma
- Senior Care
- Caregiver Support and Burnout Issues
- Coping with acute and chronic disease
- Depression and Anxiety
- Palliative Care and End of Life issues
- Family Support for life changes and transitions
- Emotional and Mental Health
- Coping and Stress Management
- Women's Issues - Menopause and life transitions
- Mindfulness

Part of my practice is devoted to the unique concerns facing persons with, or families of persons with chronic illness or disability as well as those with dementia and other age related challenges. Depression, grief and loss issues, trauma and caregiver stress are some of the concerns which may present in this stage of one’s life.
As an Aging Well Consultant, I can assist seniors look for options to safely remain in their home or to assist them in identifying needs regarding future housing.   I can assist caregivers to sort out the often challenging care system and offer support and advice.   For family members living a distance from their aging loved ones, I provide specialized "check-in" services to assure them of their loved one's well-being.  I also provide support and guidance with End of Life decision-making and Palliative Care and counselling.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University. I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
