I am a registered, doctoral level psychologist with 10 years of experience helping people improve their relationships, effectively manage anxiety and stress, improve mood and hope, work through grief and trauma, and start LIVING fully! I specialize in medical/health psychology with special focus on chronic illness, including cancer and palliative care. I am also an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Oncology at the University of Alberta Medical School. Additionally, I help people improve their sleep and overall health, including quitting smoking and losing weight.

My approach to working with clients is a collaborative, client-centered approach. I believe that we all have the capacity to heal ourselves, however when we are in a state of being overwhelmed we need support to work through our struggles. I am able to provide guidance to help you achieve a better understanding of what is going on for you, strategies that will be helpful in your daily life, and empowerment to feel confident in your ability to move forward healthily. I have been registered as a psychologist for the past 11 years, and have undergone training in a variety of counselling methods with many different types of clients. I use a variety of techniques depending on a client's personality, presenting issue, and what they are experiencing from week to week. I also focus on both shorter term counselling that is directed towards resolving a particular issue, as well as longer term psychotherapy that is more focused on internal exploration and deeper change.
