Finding work that is meaningful and rewarding, yet pays the bills at the level you desire, is one of life's most challenging tasks. I am a successful entrepreneur who has started and owned several businesses, starting in 6th grade. I have always been self employed and have navigated multiple re-inventions of finding ways to use my gifts and talents. I bring my own background of intimate engagement with this process, along with use of the Meyers-Briggs to help you determine your career path. My goal is to support you in defining what matters most to you and helping you achieve the direction your heart is urging you to go.

The self-doubts, frustration with others, and understanding what your purpose is, are welcomed here. I help individuals before, during, and after these changes. I help clients with addictive behaviours or substance use that is interfering with their ability to achieve a fulfilling career. Through collaborative conversations, clients gain a sense of purpose and direction, overcoming barriers to making meaningful progress in their professional life. Gaining a sense of control over one's life allows for increased confidence and self-esteem. I help clients build the motivation necessary to take steps toward a future filled with passion, thriving, and mental resilliance.

I support individual clients experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, and mental and emotional exhaustion. I often work with Highly Sensitive People, or empaths, who are more susceptible to these experiences. I support those in helping professions like teachers, therapists, parents, medical professionals, and difficult work environments create their boundaries in their workspace for personal well-being.

Career Counseling is about change. Whether you are changing a career position you have held for years or choosing a major, the core of career counseling is preparation and understanding your goals and how they affect your life as a whole. In my practice I do not address this topic with assessments or aptitude tests as I believe the client is the best source of information. We will examine your work history and interests and examine reasons to make a change at this time in your life. Together we will evaluate your level of risk taking, strengths, relationships, education, approaches to pursue new career or changes within your current field, stress management, and pursuit of your overall goals

While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies.
