I am a licensed clinical psychologist, trained to diagnosis and treat a variety of issues and mental illnesses. My graduate education was focused on family systems theory, and I utilize this lens to view you in the context of your interpersonal relationships and the environment around you. I am a clinical psychologist and received my doctorate from Rutgers University, one of the top Psy.D. programs in the country. I initially focused on psychodynamic therapy but then switched my specialty to cognitive behavioral therapy, as I found it more effective and it better fit my personality (active, involved). I graduated in 2000 and received my license in California in 2002 as a clinical psychologist. I continue to receive training in cognitive behavioral therapy by the top researchers in the field, as I strongly believe in learning and becoming better in my field. Being a psychologist is so rewarding to me because I see how many people get better and thrive. I truly love what I do and will always do my best to help you.

As a psychologist, I have had extensive training treating individuals and couples who present with a variety of presenting problems and diagnoses. I have treated people in an inpatient and outpatient hospital setting who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, dementia and have been hospitalized with suicide attempts. I have also been in private practice for almost 20 years and have treated people with severe depression, anxiety, panic attacks, drug and alcohol addiction, and, as well, people without major symptoms who are desiring an improvement in their quality of life, social and dating skills. I also work closely with psychiatrists and have experience and knowledge regarding the prescription of psychotropic medications, their side effects and efficacy.
