I work with clients with sexual addictions, such as compulsive pornographic internet consumption. This information is combined with the client's unique experiences to determine the level of honest commitment to change. If change is sought, we then work to identify triggers and devise coping strategies to intercept the chain of events leading to relapse. When relapse is an issue, we address it deliberately but delicately, understanding the toxic and unhelpful nature of shame and it's impact on addictive cycles.
