Hi, I'm Dr. Dave Russell. I am a psychologist who specializes in intensive counseling and coaching focused on getting to the root and core of your problems. Instead of the traditional 45-minutes-once-a-week talk therapy model, we use 90-minute and 3-HOUR SESSIONS to help you achieve up to 3 months of therapy in each session. So even if you have been in regular talk therapy for months or years without getting to the core, you have an alternative. You need to know that - with the right help and some hard work - you can get rid of your emotional baggage so completely that you will not be able to get yourself upset about your worst memory, your most challenging situation or your most sensitive issue - no matter how hard you try.

My orientation is eclectic; I apply the therapeutic strategies most appropriate for my clients' issues. These would include psychodynamic as well as cognitive behavioral (CBT) approaches. Treatment of couples issues also includes techniques associated with the Gottman Method and Susan Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. Treatment of OCD includes ERT and ACT. Treatment of children includes play therapy and parent training.
