Family counseling takes a whole-family, child-centered approach that recognizes how each member’s emotions, behaviors, & experiences impact the family system. I support families with parenting challenges, developmental concerns, communication difficulties, & everyday stressors affecting children & caregivers. Sessions focus on understanding family patterns, strengthening connection, & building practical skills such as emotional regulation, healthy communication, & consistent parenting strategies. This supportive space helps families reduce conflict, improve understanding, & create a more stable, nurturing home environment.

For me, family therapy can include any combination of individuals in your life required to resolve an issue of concern for you. I've worked with employees and business owners, parents and adult children, in-laws, blended families, neighbors, best friends, and numerous other combinations. My focus is on meeting with those who are important to you to create win/win outcomes.

Given the wide variety of family issues I have encountered over the years, I have adopted an integrated therapeutic approach. Hence, clients will receive general psychoeducation in a number of areas including: values discovery, parenting, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, boundary setting, sibling rivalry, mutual respect and accountability to mention a view. As your "group therapy leader," session time will be effectively managed. Role-plays will be utilized extensively to allow for relative freedom of expression. In addition, homework assignments are a prominent and prevalent component to our intervention strategy. Finally, priority is given to confidentiality and trust.

My approach to the healing of the family is to work with each individual in the family system bringing healing from damaged emotions. When this is accomplished, the family is able to relate from an emotionally healthy perspective. I also do temperament analysis which enables me to understand and share the unique temperament of each family member.
