I believe in the power of relationship in healing and work hard to come alongside my clients That therapeutic relationship is the most important part of healing. When I first meet with a client I ask them three things: 1.What are the issues that they wish to work on, 2. What are their goals for this therapy and 3. When the therapy is over, what they want to have gotten from the therapy. In my over 30 years as a psychologist if there is one thing that I've learned it is that clients are unique, and therefore I don't have a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, but rather will work together with my clients to develop a tailor made treatment plan which is the key to them getting the maximum benefit from their psychotherapy.

I offer brief, results-oriented psychotherapy. My approach is to identify and resolve how specific, unresolved upsetting or traumatic events are getting activated in present day situations and contributing to negative beliefs about yourself in certain situations or repetitive, self-sabotaging patterns in your personal relationships or at work. I have advanced training and experience in helping clients understand and heal from many types of distressing events. I use an integrative approach with trauma-informed modalities focused on attachment, self-regulation, and systemic dynamics. Based on what each client needs, I use a combination of talk-therapy and somatic therapies to bring healing and resolution. I work with couples and individual clients to process difficult emotions, change unhealthy patterns, and heal relational disconnection. I use my training in EMDR, sex therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
