It is hard feeling like you are stuck in a career or like you do not know what to do career-wise. Sometimes, imposter syndrome gets the best of us and thus leads us to self-sabotage. Then, we find ourselves experiencing missed opportunities, regret, angst, and pain. We often ask challenging questions in therapy, so that you can explore and determine whether you want to stay, leave, or grow where you are at (or somewhere else). I have traveled the country teaching police supervisors how to be effective leaders by developing a culture of acceptance. I have also written extensively on the subject of job burnout, compassion fatigue, morale, effective leadership and ethics for multiple law enforcement publications. In my office I have also coached those who are starting their careers to those who are high level executives on pursuing their professional goals.

Understanding ones qualities and personality is one key to developing a plan that will result in a satisfying career. Many times clients work to work instead of finding what makes them tick and what creates purpose and meaning in life. Clients settle far to often and become dissatisfied and begin to develope a negative self-concept, which leads to more dissatisfaction.
