I assist individuals suffering from depression find hope, connection, and relief by collaborating with them through their journey. When necessary and appropriate, I will collaborate with the individual's other health care providers to ensure the greatest level of care and progress. Those suffering with depression have difficulty finding hope, energy, and worth - I assist this individual in each aspect of this experience. I approach them with warmth, understanding, hope, and empathy.

My approach will vary depending on the severity of the depression. The first importance is stability of well being. From there I will work on thoughts, feelings, and behaviors working towards short terms goals. Goals will include small behavior changes that will help to be building blocks and also cognitive work on realistic truths. Often things like sleep, nutrition, and exercise are also evaluated and improved in the process as ways to counter depression.
