Being the economic hub of southern Manitoba, Winkler has a retailing trading area of around 17,000 households.  There are also around 4,300 people that work in Winkler, with approximately 30% of those workers in the industrial sector.  Health and education is the area’s second largest employer, which makes up around 20% of the workforce.  Triple E Recreational Vehicles is perhaps the largest employer in Winkler.
