I have been in the counseling field for over 41 years. While many counseling practices do focus on problems, I very much like the idea of exploring what you believe would be solutions. In our collaboration, we will work to shrink the influence of problems in your life.

Identity issues are common to most people, and can happen at any stage in life. Sometimes it can take us by surprise, a significant change happens, and, in a sense, we are awoken to the concept of purpose and meaning. We begin to look over our lives and our past, searching for purpose in who we are. Counselling Winkler, MB can help you through this journey. If we are truly honest with ourselves, we can agree that life is indeed a journey, one that we are all on. Each of us struggles with coming to terms with who we are, our true self. Why are you here? Where are you going? Counseling and therapy will give you significant insight into yourself and the events in your life, helping you better answer those questions. And therapy is not simply for the individual, but also for relationships, goals, finances, trauma, abuse, addictions...the value of a counsellor Winkler, MB is significant. If you are going through a difficult period, please consider counseling in Winkler, and contact one of our psychologists or counselors right away.

Winkler is located in southern Manitoba with a population around 9,600.  It is, however, the largest city in the Pembina Valley and is considered the centre or hub for agriculture, commerce and other industries.  Winkler is also Manitoba’s sixth largest city and is one of the fastest growing in the area.  The city dates back to 1874 when the Russian Mennonites settled the area. However, it wasn’t until 1888 when the first Mennonite Brethren congregation was established, as a direct result of missionary work from the United States.  Counselling Winkler, MB brings harmony and balance back into your life so that you are fully equipped to make the right choices to move through your issues.  The city was named after Valentine Winkler when it was officially founded in 1892.  Due to the demand for a market, Winkler got the Canadian Pacific Railway to build a route just northeast of the town.  Winkler was incorporated in 1906 as a village and later as a town in 1954.

Winkler is geographically located west of the Red River Valley and is approximately 100 kilometres from Winnipeg.  There are a couple of prehistoric beaches located in and around Winkler, such as Lake Agassiz and Emerado Beach.  Lake Agassiz was formed over 10,000 years ago by the Pembina Escarpment.  Emerado Beach was formed when the draining of Lake Agassiz had temporarily stopped.  The soil make-up is rich. For instance, in the west, the soil make-up is sandy, and is ideal for producing potatoes, corn and beans.  Christian counselling Winkler, MB will help you to redefine your goals and purpose so that you can live a more fulfilling life.  The soil to the east has more of a clay make-up and is perfect for growing sugar beets, canola, smaller grains and some beans and corn.  The weather is in the area is dryer and colder in the winters, with summer being hot and dry.  The weather in Winkler helps produce great crops.
