Addictions often develop as a way to cope with underlying pain, stress, or trauma. In my work, I provide a safe, compassionate space to explore both the behaviours and the experiences behind them. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing, and Polyvagal-informed approaches, along with CBT- and DBT-informed strategies, we focus on building coping skills, calming the nervous system, and fostering self-compassion. Together, we work toward understanding the roots of addictive patterns and creating lasting change.

This approach acknowledges that maintaining abstinence may not be a realistic goal. Without judgement we will work together to set realistic goals that seek to reduce the negative impacts of your addiction. Contrary to what is believed, addiction usually starts with a positive impact on a person’s life and even sometimes saves their life.
