I help clients with addictive behaviours or substance use that is interfering with their ability to achieve a fulfilling career. Through collaborative conversations, clients gain a sense of purpose and direction, overcoming barriers to making meaningful progress in their professional life. Career counseling is one of my favorite areas of therapy (and coaching). Choosing a career or making a career change can be incredibly confusing and frustrating when you don't know where to start, and it's easy to get lost in the details. There are so many factors that go into a big decision like this! As a later-in-life career changer I can relate. As a master's level Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) I have access to different personality assessments and strengths inventories that can be a solid starting point for deciding on new, second or third career. Another tool to help you move in the right direction is identifying your values - what you value in life and in a career.

I have a PhD in leadership and policy and a background in business. I've had many jobs and careers from modelling, personal training, to a Bell operator and a Purolator driver. I've been in retail sales, and sold photocopies, PR, and software. I've been a teacher of primary/junior students, and professor in sales, and a professor in graduate education. I have owned a restaurant, and a tutoring company. I am sure I have missed something! I'm reinventing myself once again looking to be an author! Let me help you find your way!
