The Christian faith offers a great many resources which are helpful in facing the challenges of life, the challenges of relationship. Faith, at its best, is designed to help negotiate life as it really is. It is a source of courage and helps us to identify what really matters. The Christian faith holds love at its centre and guides us to act towards our selves and towards others out of love. It helps us keep our egos in check, knowing there is something (God) greater than our limited understanding with is at work in our lives. It is a particular passion of mine to work with clients who would like to bring their faith and their spirituality into counselling. My greatest joy over 30 years has been helping people of faith, both Jews and Christians, grow in their relationship with God while negotiating the painful experiences and choices of life. Within a Biblical framework, counselling becomes an even richer process. A Biblical base simply means that the therapist believes that all human beings were created in the image of God, intended for relationship and designed with the capacity for growth and change.
