The Christian faith offers a great many resources which are helpful in facing the challenges of life, the challenges of relationship. Faith, at its best, is designed to help negotiate life as it really is. It is a source of courage and helps us to identify what really matters. The Christian faith holds love at its centre and guides us to act towards our selves and towards others out of love. It helps us keep our egos in check, knowing there is something (God) greater than our limited understanding with is at work in our lives. I enter into discussions with clients about these matters, urging them to draw upon their own faith. I do not quote the Bible to direct them.

My greatest joy over 30 years has been helping people of faith, both Jews and Christians, grow in their relationship with God while negotiating the painful experiences and choices of life. Sometimes it is even our religious community which has been the source of those painful experiences.
