I provide Christian counseling and Christian Marriage Counselling to individuals, couples, and families. My background includes both Christian and Spiritual experiences and training that allows for a deep understanding of the importance of the spiritual and religious aspects for individuals, couples, and families in their healing process. My approach to counselling is attachment based and trauma informed. I have extensive training in emotionally focused therapy, the gold standard in couple's therapy, which I apply in my work with couples, families, and individuals. Emotionally focused therapy closely parallels the Christian faith in how it understands human personhood and connection. I am trained through a biblical lens and comfortable including faith in the work we will do. During our sessions I take an engaged and active role in the process, focused on helping you to identify the areas where you may be stuck and working with you to make changes aligned with your goals and faith.

If requested, I offer Christian counseling to assist indivduals to cope with emotional, relational, and spiritual difficulties. Often incorporating faith into therapy can provide a sense of comfort, meaning, and hope, as well as a framework for understanding and addressing our challenges. I will use various therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or other evidence-based approaches, while integrating faith-based principles and practices.

I hold a Masters of Divinity in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University. I also spent over 20 years involved in various Christian Leadership roles. I do not practice or hold to this religion any longer. In my clinical work, I work with clients who are processing spiritual abuse/trauma and I regularly work with clients who are navigating deconstruction. I believe it is important to clarify, I am affirming and fully accepting of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I consider myself an ally to this community. In my clinical work, I consider it an honour to work with members of this community who have been wounded by the Christian Church.
