Have your loved ones told you that you have an anger management problem? there's nothing wrong with feeling angry. but what do you DO when you FEEL angry? do you raise your voice or say things that you don't really mean, or that you later regret saying? Anger management can help you behave more calmly, more respectfully even when you are feeling angry. Therapy can help you stay cool and not feel guilty about how you acted when you felt angry.

As a counselor, my approach to anger management is to help clients understand the root cause of their anger and develop healthy coping strategies to manage it. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their triggers, recognize patterns of behavior, and learn new ways to express and regulate their emotions. Through counseling for anger management, clients can learn to communicate more effectively, manage stress, and develop problem-solving skills to prevent anger from escalating. My goal is to help clients achieve a greater sense of self-awareness, improve their relationships, and lead a more fulfilling life

Sometimes, our loved ones tell use that we need to get out anger under control. Other times, the fallout from an angry outburst can be so awful and the decision to seek help is made. For anger management, I use an approach called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have found this approach the be the most efficient at bringing insight and self-awareness in the moment leading up to anger, which in turn give the client greater control over self, with love and compassion for themselves and for others.

At Clinic Dr. Bita, we offer group workshops, as well individual therapy sessions to address anger management. Our English and French group workshops take place in the evenings at our Westmount clinic (once per week for an eight-week period). Discounts are available for early-bird registrants. And expenses for the workshop are reimbursed by by private insurance companies and are recognized by the courts.
