The field of career counseling covers the gamut from therapists who coach about careers to therapists who specialize in careers only and utilize many tools and metric guides to help people find their careers. I am NOT a specialist in career counseing, but very often a person's career choice (or lack thereof) directlly impacts other issues such as self esteem and happiness. In the context of deeper therapy, it is very common that we explore a person's career choice or dreams and we evaluate how well a person's value system matches their career choice. If they are not aligned, we explore together the many career options to help identify opportunity and search for a good fit.

I work with young adults and women with navigating a variety of life transitions and adjustments, including deciding on a career path. I also work with young professionals on managing work stress, perfectionism, and burn out. I practice from a solution-focused approach that allows us to work together collaboratively and work towards your goals for therapy.

While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies.
