As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I help men and their wives to rediscover the incredible value they bring to the marriage, and help them negotiate a hopeful path forward. I will help you identify destructive patterns in your marriage and provide healthier alternatives. I’ll help you improve communication, learn to fight fair, and increase understanding and connection. Couples can find themselves unsure as to how their relationship has deteriorated, and feeling that it is impossible to repair or restore it. Utilizing tools from the John Gottman Relationship Couples Therapy and Bob Navarra Addiction Recovery, frequently relationships are stronger and more intimately connected than they ever were. Together we identify strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in the relationship. Using practical skills, we build on the strengths, strengthen the weaknesses, and fill in the gaps. Utilizing these tools clients see changes in themselves and their relationships very quickly.

We are never more vulnerable than when we give the gift of our self to another, to form a couple. Our interactions can turn into negative patterns that are hard to break on our own. We help couples identify what contributes to these patterns. We explore what each person thinks a good relationship looks like and what barriers may be currently in the way of achieving that view. By focusing not on what needs to be changed in our partner but what we can change in ourselves, we can help the couple see what they can do better together, than they could do as individuals on their own. If each person can gain a better understanding of themselves, they can learn to live more in harmony with the other.

Relationships can be so hard and can feel easily disconnected. It takes maintenance and work to continue a healthy relationship. Just because you are fighting does not mean your relationship is bad or dysfunctional. It is about how you both can get through conflict together that makes the difference. Therapy can help you better communicate and connect with each other. Validation, empathy, and intimacy are key components to a relationship.
