I work to support the healthy expression of anger. Anger rises when your boundaries are violated in someway, when something tender within you is feeling threatened and wants protection. We explore what your anger is trying to bring to conscious awareness and allow that to rise from its hiding place within you so that it can receive compassion and understanding. Often, through revealing and offering that part of you attention, your relationship to it changes, dissipating much of the need for protection. As a retired Marine Corps Officer, I have had a lot of experience with anger management, both personally and with my clients. Once again, I feel the key to anger management is identifying the root cause of anger. Oftentimes we improperly project our internal anger onto someone who does not deserve it. My clients report that after working with me, they no longer project anger onto the innocent people in their lives.
