As a Christian and a graduate from Bethel Seminary, I am aware of how a person's spiritual faith is integrated into all aspects of one's life. For many people it is important to find a therapist who understands and values their faith in Jesus Christ. Christian counseling involves incorporating one's spiritual beliefs along with the treatment modalities implemented to manage the presenting problem. This can involve helping to resolve feelings of guilt and shame that can get in the way of making one feel hopeless or feeling as though they are being punished. It also means finding the best treatment modalities that are not in conflict with spiritual and/or Christian beliefs.

I am a Christian therapist. I have a heart for helping couples, individuals and families to become more securely attached to one another by deepening and strengthening their relationships with one another and with God. We are created for connection. We are created to be in relationship and in community with one another. God's heart is that our relationships would be healthy & whole. I work specifically on understanding how disconnection and distance happens in your relationships and help you build a more secure, lasting connection with those who matter most. I help you repairt rifts, rebuild trust if necessary, and restore your relationship to wholeness for your good & for God's glory.

Faith and spirituality can provide comfort and meaning to those guided by their beliefs. I was raised in a Christian household myself so I have an appreciation for the values instilled by religion, the importance of tradition, and the strength of community. My approach to counseling is humanistic and welcoming of all spiritualities. Though I do not incorporate any specific pastoral counsel, I encourage my spiritual clients to draw on their beliefs during the counseling process.

AS a Christian therapist, I believe that a person's understanding, belief and relationship to Jesus Christ significantly impacts how they perceive themselves, relate to others and deal with life challenges. I utilize pyschological methods and skills to help clients practically apply the principles of the Christian faith in managing and solving their life struggles. Successfully overcoming the struggles of life greatly depends upon hope for the future. I believe that a Christian based approach is affective becasue of the hope found in the person of Jesus Christ. Christian therapy can provide clients the needed confidence and courage to take responsibility for their life situation.

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that.
