For over forty years, Dr. Brainerd has worked with individuals, couples and families to help them understand and find relief from emotional distress and solutions for troubling and puzzling problems. He combines working on problems with enhancing the quality of life.

Welcome, I am a Licensed Board Certified Psychotherapist and work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, & families. I have extensive training and experience working with a wide range of problem areas such as depression and anxiety to crisis interventions.

I provide a family focused approach addressing the complex developmental needs of children, adolescents, and their families in addressing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral concerns.

Guiding people through the restructuring of life because of separation/divorce is my specialty, including co-parenting, divorce coaching, and other aspects of family law matters. We'll help you keep your dignity, stay out of court, and preserve your relationships.
