Feel your family is dysfunctional? Most families are. I will provide a space in which everyone is heard and respected. I will look at the whole family as a unit and help you develop new strategies for interactions as a family. I will also look at how each memeber of the family relates to the other members and help you develop new ways of responding and communicating. No member of the family will be left out as we build a stronger family unit.

In family therapy, I draw on the work of both Virginia Satir and Michael White to create a collaborative space where each family member feels valued. Inspired by Satir’s emphasis on connection and authenticity, we explore family dynamics without placing blame on any one person, seeking instead to understand how certain patterns have taken shape. Using White’s narrative approach, we also look at the stories each person holds about their role within the family, inviting re-authoring conversations that foster empathy, resilience, and a sense of belonging. Together, we build on shared values to create a supportive, growth-oriented environment for all.

Often one member of a family carries and acts out the hidden issues that lie beneath the surface of family life. Children often unconsciously inherit the unresolved problems that have not adequately been dealt with by their parents. Blended families make the situation even harder to understand. I can help you diagnose and deal with the issues behind the difficult behaviors that you see in one or more of your family members. Families are strongest when people can count on each other to be there for one another and open discussions lead to health behavior changes.

I love working with families who are open to guidance and accountability. Most of my experience with family therapy involves working with families with children and/or parents who are neurodivergent. I can offer tools like EMDR, mindfulness practices, creative and fun techniques, and a fresh, unbiased perspective on the potential causes and solutions for your family's challenges.

No matter your family structure, family is one of the most influential aspects of our lives. I believe that our experiences with our family helps define who we are and how we exist in the world. My goal as a therapist to help each family member learn more about themselves, their other family members, and the family as a whole in order to reestablish healthy boundaries, increase connection, and increase understanding.
