I believe the voice of every family member is important. I believe we can learn much from our children if we as parents are willing to let our guard down and listen. I believe that parents have the leadership role in the home and are responsible for setting the pace. When these things get out of balance, problems occur. I strive to help families by giving each member a voice, by empowering parents to take a healthy lead in their homes, and by helping the children approach their parents in appropriate ways so they have influence into the family dynamic.

People do not exist in a vacuum. They are part of a family system. Whether that system is traditional, non-traditional, blended or any number of other descriptions, the individual is impacted by the family system and the system is impacted by the individual. As a result, the best method of addressing issues is with as much of the family system as possible. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) my education and experience is focused on the family system. Let’s work together on your families concerns.
