I offer a safe space for clients to reach their full potential through a therapeutic relationship that is based on the clients goals. Clients will be able to discover new things about themselves and find new ways to confront any struggles that they may be facing. Through psychotherapy clients often find their strengths and new insights that lead them closer to a fulfilled life.

In all of the work that I do with clients, there are some primary goals: Promote understanding and eliminate ambiguity. It is only through understanding that we can create comprehensive and meaningful change. I also focus quite heavily on exploring tools and treatment methods with my clients so that they can find their desired change. I incorporate elements of cognitive and behavioural interventions along with a myriad of psychological principles into my psychotherapeutic work.

My approach to counselling is attachment based and trauma informed. I have extensive training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy, the gold standard in couple's therapy, which I apply in my work with couples, families, and individuals. During our sessions I take an engaged and active role in the process, focused on helping you to identify the areas where you may be stuck and working with you to make changes aligned with your goals.

In my work as a mental health nurse, I have had the privilege of working with many people struggling with difficult situations and trauma.
