Regina enjoys an abundance of outdoor recreation throughout the year.  Numerous parks and green spaces provide biking paths, cross-country skiing venues, boating and skating and toboggan runs on Wascana  Lake.  The city has five municipal golf courses, ball diamonds, picnic grounds and stock car racing on a 1/3 mil paved oval.. A half hour drive from the city provides camping country with winter ski resorts and fishing lakes.
