Credentials and Experience
I have pursued the education, training and experience I believe best allows me to be of service to you. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Education (Honors), and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology (Honors). I am a member in good standing of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and British Columbia College of Teachers and have met all of the requirements to receive the designation of Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). I continue to passionately pursue advanced education, certification training, and personal development.
In the professional realm, I have been counselling adults, children, couples and families in Vancouver since 1997.
For over 10 years, I offered counselling services for the Vancouver School Board.
Each person’s life path is unique. It is my commitment to work with you to discover all the possibilities and potential in your life.
As a married mother of three children and the daughter of aging parents, I understand the many competing demands of life. As a result of these demands, we can lose sight of the importance of our relationship with ourselves and with others. With guidance and increased awareness, we can find well-being, confidence, and connection amidst all the chaos of our busy lives. I will share with you the tools and skills that have been indispensable to me and my clients on this journey.
I am curious, empathetic and non-judgmental by nature. I believe this serves me well in my counseling work. By being open and compassionate with my clients, while unafraid to challenge them when necessary, I believe there is no limit to the potential for growth and healing we can achieve in our work together.
I look forward to hearing from you.
